Olentangy Schools picked chief operations officer Todd Meyer as its new superintendent to succeed Mark Raiff, who is retiring at the end of 2022-23.

Raiff told Olentangy Schools that he plans to retire with his wife, Katie, in North Carolina and spend time with his four children and three grandchildren.

About a dozen parents and students protested with signs Monday in front of the Olentangy Local School District’s administrative office.

Olentangy Local School District has seven copies of “The Sneetches” by Dr. Seuss in six elementary libraries, but none in school where podcast held.

Olentangy Schools, the fourth-largest district in the state, welcomed more than 23,000 students in August to kick off the 2022-23 school year.

Five new building principals will be among those welcoming students as Olentangy Schools starts the 2022-23 school year Aug. 18.
