Leader of opposition in Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) Payal Sakariya was suspended from the general board meeting on Tuesday by Mayor Daxesh Mavani. Sakariya was demanding inclusion of AAP’s suggestions in the budget and refused to stop despite mayor’s request.

The protesting councillors also headed to the dais and handed over a toy bus to Mayor Daxesh Mawani.
