The intent. was there criminal intent? and i think that is the perry mason moment. if he says no, all i really want to do is for you to find me enough votes that i win. that is not anything other than criminal intent. in my view, i doubt a grand jury will look at it differently. the, a special grand jury cannot and itself hand out an indictment. can hand out a subpoena, file testimony, that sort of thing. i just cant imagine how you could decide that there is not something wrong with that. >> mi...

Assistant district attorney stressing to you i think this portion of what he said. all i want to do is this. and all he wants to do is to magically create those numbers. he doesnt say here is what i want to do. i want you to go back in. conduct a very fair recount. and i hope when you conduct that very fair recount the following result occurs. no, no. all i want you to do is give me that number. >> yeah. you know, the hardest thing to prove in this case is intent of course. was there criminal in...

I want to talk about what the costs are of not acting. what the cost is of having joe manchin or others block action in the senate. for example, if we do not pass legislation to allow medicare to negotiate drug prices, we are losing $8 billion a year. this is what it costs taxpayers because medicare cannot negotiate drug prices. we have to pass this legislation to get this done. this is a problem even in the strongest economy because essentially we allow drug companies to hold american taxpayers...

Medicare cannot exist with the aca. >> and thats why im opposed to any republican that wants to dismantle it or any democratic. the idea that youre going to come along and dismantle this makes no sense to me. >> four of the top five people on your polls are on the complete opposite side of you. >> i understand that. and thats worth debating about. i believe theyre totally sincere. but look, starting over i think would be a sin. >> they say youre either all in or its half measures that dont work....

Of people reviewing medications at the fda. they found that 60% of those reviewers who left the fda went on to work for the pharmaceutical companies. they said the lead researcher if you know in the back of your mind that your career goal may be to some they work at the other side of the table, i wonder whether that changes the way you regulate. yet. i wonder. perhaps, the most blatant example of the health swap revolving door is former louisiana congressman. in 2001-2004 he chaired the health e...

Piece of legislation, which can be levered into tax reform down the road if the congress were successful in passing either the senate or the reconciled house bill as well. >> so you believe leader mcconnell and his team was looking more about tax plans more than health care bills? >> there is nothing in this bill that deals with the immediate and longer term questions surrounding health care. this does not lower premiums. it does not lower deductibles or insure coverage. it deals nothing with dr...

Going forward. and of course as i think you said earlier and doug said, thats all paid for by a $800 billion tax cut for corporations and wealthy americans. >> one of the things sean spicer kept saying today, republicans keep saying, is people who have coverage now under the affordable care act dont really have anything. doug, the way sean spicer kept saying it today, they may have a card but they cant go -- the doctors wont accept them, the doctors wont accept medicaid patients. what is the tru...
