Upcoming elections this year. This roundtable includes a closer look at some of the congressional and governors races generating national attention. This is one hour. Washington journal continues. How many are truly competitive and how does this compare to previous election cycles . We have 52 house races out of 145 on our list. It roughly falls for the target is for midday election cycles. Compare to past wave cycles, previous to election day there were almost 100 seats on our competitive list. Now were down to 50. Part of the explanation is we have a round of redistricting under our belts where there was somes and there was uncertainty. Depending on what the National Political environment is, we could see that number grow. This could roughly be the field we have for the next 11 months. Easier. In Silicon Valley there is a notion that every time you fail there is a notion that i failed like ive times, i am so strong. I think there is kind of idealism that you keep going and keep trying. I think that is really important. Very few founders get it right the first time. I know i did not. I am working on my fourth company. In reality i have probably started 10 companies. The ground andf some work and some did not. You can figure out what you need to do better the next time. How policy affects that, we have been in a position where we have been able to have it though you are able to take to resources and pivot it another one so it was not necessarily a bankrupt situation. I love the system that you can keep going. I also think from a funding perspective on the getting access to the capital, it is really important to have run white. A Castro Valley man had a live alligator guarding his pot. Amber lee tells us what happened to the gator, called mr. Teeth and his owner. The 32yearold Castro Valley man is being held here, it was the discovery of the exotic pet that surprised his neighbors and deputies. Residents of this quiet Castro Valley culdesac tell me the suspect lived in this rented two story home with his wife and 2yearold son with several dogs including a pit bull. Some suspected drug dealing but were shocked to learn he had an alligator named mr. Teeth guarding marijuana in the home. One neighbor spoke with us on the condition we would not identify her.
