Multi-cap mutual funds can serve as a beneficial tool for investors aiming for diversification and long-term capital appreciation through a single investment.

Budget 2023 made the new income tax regime the default regime. Since this regime doesn’t give Section 80C benefits, ELSS, or tax-saving mutual funds, have lost their tax-benefit edge. Aside from taxpayers who would still opt for the old tax regime, it remains to be seen if ELSS funds can sell themselves purely on performance.

Mutual fund investors have two upcoming NFOs by Groww and Old Bridge

Old Bridge Mutual Fund announced the launch of the Old Bridge Focused Equity Fund. The scheme will open for public subscription on January 17, 2024, and will close on January 19, 2024.

The jump in AUM from Rs 40 lakh crore to Rs 50 lakh crore took just one year with assets growing around six times in the last 10 years; December saw SIP flows touching a new high of Rs 17,610 crore

Anthony Heredia says: “Every other month, we are going to see a new peak in SIPs. SIP flows will trend to double the overall flows of the industry over the next three to five years. When I talk to investors, the comfort they have towards SIPs is probably 2x the comfort they have towards funds in general.”

DSP Mutual Fund announced the launch of the DSP Multicap Fund. The scheme opened for public subscription on January 08, 2024, and will close on January 22, 2024.
