Mobile Number Portability: According to the online community platform LocalCircles, 11 per cent of consumers said the process was "very difficult", and 14 per cent said it was "quite difficult". About 23 per cent said it "wasnt difficult but wasnt easy either", 29 per cent mentioned it was "quite easy", and 18 per cent said porting was "very easy".

Beginning today, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has implemented the revised mobile number portability (MNP) rules. The process which allows mobile subscribers to switch operators while retaining their mobile numbers. The new rules suggest a number must be ported within 3-5 working days, which earlier was extended to 15 days.
