Read Latest India News Quickly Here | In March this year, the police here in Maharashtra had arrested former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Ravindra Patil and cyber expert Pankaj Ghode, who were roped in by the police to help them in cracking cryptocurrency fraud cases.

Pune police have filed a charge sheet in a court here against a former IPS officer and a cyber expert in connection with an alleged multi-crore cryptocurrency fraud, an official said on Tuesday.

“Ajay Bhardwaj must be subjected to narco analysis test,” GainBitcoin victims told Inc42, adding that Ajay Bhardwaj has been lying to the investigators

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has ramped up its investigation into the much touted INR 6 Cr bitcoin fraud case in Maharashtra’s Pune.

The tokens had been stolen by two cyber specialists who were arrested in 2018 for stealing cryptocurrency while assisting authorities solving the GainBitcoin scam.

A former IPS officer and a cyber expert, who were roped in to assist the Pune Police in cracking cryptocurrency fraud cases, were arrested for allegedly cheating the investigators by fraudulently transferring money to the tune of crores from digital wallets to their accounts.
