MOBILE, Ala. -- The three-seeded William Woods University mens tennis team was upset by 14-seeded College of Coastal Georgia in the second round of the NAIA National Championship, ending its national title run.

The College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) announced the 2022-23 mens tennis academic all-district award winners Tuesday afternoon, and William Woods Universitys junior Ben Grumley and graduate Patrick Shelepov earned the distinct honor.

ST. LOUIS -- The No. 5 William Woods University mens tennis team swept Texas Wesleyan Thursday morning for the Unaffiliated Grouping Conference Championship. The Owls allowed no points against them throughout the tournament, quickly earning the automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship.

ST. LOUIS -- The 2023 Mens Tennis Unaffiliated Grouping all-conference team was announced Wednesday, and Vaclav Schneider was titled the mens player of the year. The No. 5 William Woods mens tennis team placed five singles and all three doubles teams on the all-conference lists.

Fulton -- Patrick Shelepov highlighted the day with his singles win to break the William Woods University mens tennis career record. The No. 10 Owls grabbed a 4-0 clinched win over Concordia (Neb.), recording the programs 100th win since the re-inception in 2015-16.
