Town Election Results From Yesterday | Newsradio 95 WXTK

By WXTK News A controversial Select Board race in Bourne is over.  Mary Jane Mastrangelo and incumbent Jared MacDonald were the winners of a five-candidate field in Tuesday’s election.  Incumbent James Potter leveled various accusations of impropriety against Mastrangelo in her capacity as the chair of the Bourne Finance Committee, which led the Select Board to hire a special counsel to resolve the matter.  Potter came in third place in yesterday s election. There were also Select Board races in three other Cape Cod towns yesterday.  In Falmouth, a vacant seat was picked up by Onjalé Scott Price.  In Yarmouth, incumbent Daniel Horgan and newcomer Peter Q. Smith were the winners. 

Yarmouth voters approve wastewater funding, school budget override

Daniel Horgan will hold onto his seat on the Yarmouth Board of Selectmen after earning the most votes of any candidate in the race.  Horgan, who earned 37% of votes cast in Tuesday’s election, will be joined on the board by Peter Q. Smith, who narrowly edged out Curtis Sears for the second open seat. Yarmouth voters also approved a key piece of the town’s plan to fund a wastewater overhaul that has been in the works for years. More than 76% of voters approved the addition of a .78% surcharge on the annual property tax assessed on real property starting July 1.
