MARYVILLE — The Lincoln Blue Tigers dropped a men’s-women’s basketball doubleheader Thursday night to Northwest Missouri State.

With 13 seconds remaining in a game that was already going to be won by Northwest Missouri, Lincoln women’s basketball coach Drea Mize called a timeout. It had been a rough shooting performance up to that point, with Lincoln at a mere 26.8 percent, and execution had been just as problematic, but Mize wanted to set up a play and finish the game on a high note.
