IMD has predicted that Himachal Pradesh and Bihar might experience dense fog during night and morning hours during the next 24 hours.

Between January 23 to 26, light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are predicted over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, north Rajasthan, and west UP.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for three districts of Tamil Nadu as Cyclone Mandous was inching closer to the state. On Sunday, there will be significant rainfall in a number of southern states; after that, IMD predicts that there will be less rainfall.

Rainfall alert: The festive season of Diwali and Bhai Dooj is likely to turn out to be a rainy one, thanks to the low-pressure system over the Andaman Sea, which is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm. Several eastern states including West Bengal, Assam, Odisha, North East are predicted to experience heavy rainfall. 

Schools in several districts of Uttar Pradesh will remain shut today due to heavy rainfall alerts.

The 24-hour average air quality index in the city was 48 at 4 pm. It was 56 on Saturday and 55 on Friday.
