Trail bench to offer visitors a rest on the trails

As the annual Sturgis rally puts Helping with Horsepower's motorcycle program at the forefront this week, its horse therapy programs could use some extra support.

Katie Moke, 40, of Mt. Vernon, SD, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023, in her sleep at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 12, at New Home Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Burial will be at New Home Cemetery in rural Davison County. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7:00 PM at the church with a 6:30 PM prayer service. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Timothy Schmit, 55, of Mitchell, SD, died Monday, February 14, 2022, at his home under hospice care in Mitchell. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 18, at Bittner Funeral Chapel.
