D.C.'s attorney general has filed new charges against the founder of Casa Ruby, Ruby Corado, accusing her of misappropriating hundreds of thousands of dollars...

The D.C. Attorney General's Office is doubling down on its civil lawsuit against LGBTQ nonprofit Casa Ruby and its founder Ruby Corado. 

D.C.’s attorney general has accused Casa Ruby founder Ruby Corado of funneling more than $400,000 intended for the nonprofit’s work into personal bank accounts.

A receiver's report submitted to a D.C. court has also found evidence of “potential criminal misconduct” at Casa Ruby. 

It's been over a month since FOX 5 learned that Casa Ruby stopped providing critical services to the LGBTQ community in the District. 

Ruby Corado, the founder of Casa Ruby, said she is not a criminal as a court sided with D.C.'s attorney general and froze the LGBTQ+ nonprofit's financial accounts.

The owner of an LGBT nonprofit organization in Washington has denied allegations of misusing government funds after the district’s attorney general issued an order to freeze the group’s financial accounts earlier this week.

D.C.'s attorney general announced an investigation into Casa Ruby, a nonprofit that provided housing, food and social services to the LGBTQ community.
