The Minister of Justice used Tuesdays debate on the Section 89 report to criticise the independent panels report, saying it failed to provide sufficient evidence.

Speaking after the vote at the Cape Town City Hall, Malema also accused the African National Congress of intimidating its Members of Parliament from voting for the adoption of the Section 89 Phala Phala report.

The house was locked in a heated debate over the Section 89 panel report that found that President Cyril Ramaphosa might have breached the Constitution and broken anti-corruption laws.

President Cyril Ramaphosa is embroiled in a multi-million-rand scandal linked to the theft of foreign currency on his Phala Phala farm in 2020.

The party filed papers in the Constitutional Court on Monday to oppose the presidents application.
