the fire started after floodwaters shorted the electric equipment inside. the storm hit as far south as georgia. atlanta got more than 1 of snow, the first white christmas in nearly 130 years. that is according to the national weather service. and it stranded hundreds of travelers, part of the chain reaction after several major airports shut down overnight, and airlines canceled thousands of flights for a second straight day. we have team fox coverage, and now from accweather with the forecast, but, first, live from newark, liberty airport, the airport there is still closed. do we have any idea when it is supposed to re-open? reporter: trace, i can tell you a short time ago we thought flights could take off at 3:15 but they have been pushed back and canceled and the early of the flight scheduled are around 5:00 so that is providing some hope for passengers out here.
