Active cases edge up as MOPH releases Thursday s COVID-19 figures

Doha Qatar on Thursday recorded 157 new COVID-19 cases 119 from within the community and 38 among travellers returning from abroad.  The Ministry of Public Health also reported 140 recoveries. With this, the active cases in Qatar edged up to 1,958 while the total recoveries jumped to 140,404. No new deaths linked to the virus were recorded in the last 24 hours, leaving the death toll so far at 243. Current COVID-19 Status Measures to tackle COVID-19 in Qatar have succeeded in flattening the curve and limiting the spread of the virus and the number of new daily cases and hospital admissions is continuing to decline each week.
