Thompson School District Chief Operating Officer Todd Piccone could not comment on specifics as to why United Property had canceled its contract, but said that a city council ruling likely contributed. 

On Tuesday, Loveland City Council will consider requests to rezone the 6.6-acre property that formerly held Monroe Elementary School and make an amendment to the city's comprehensive plan to allow both commercial and multifamily land uses on the site.
