and so he has been a very aggressive, or trying to be a very aggressive check on what s happening in washington. so this is not something that just affects people in new york but i d say democrats nationally who have looked to him to be essentially a stop-gap on what s happening in washington. so what happens to all the cases his office is working on now? because in his statement, he says he strongly contests these allegations, but he basically says the allegations against me are so strong, i cannot do my job effectively. is he telling us here everything is going to be status quo without me? we don t know because he s frankly not going to be running that office. but a democrat will be. yes, a democrat is going to be running that office. there will be an election. he was running for a third term this year. assuming a democrat wins in november, a democrat will be running that office. in the meantime, the state legislature actually appoints a replacement. and that s controlled by
values are threateneded by what s happening in washington. the republicans are organized against you and see you as the threat clearly. the republican national committee is also organizing on this race. you did have a little trouble with glenn kesler in the washington post todasaying one of your ads is misleading and that you talk about a top secret or top security clearance. congressional aide for five years. are you trying to exaggerate your national security credentials? no, i mean politics is a contact sport and i expect to take some hits. if there s any doubt about how winnable this race is, the fact that super pacs from washington are coming down and spending millions of dollars on partisan smears is an indication of how winnable it is. i m staying focused on an economic message about bringing more hi-tech jobs to the community. standing up for american values unite people rather than dividing us and holding washington accountable and whether that means holding the white
matchup trump kills jeb bush 56% to 37%. but ben carson beats trump by the same margin, 55% to trump 36%. what are we to make of that, guy? it s the summer of the outsiders. people cannot stand what s happening in washington. they are uneasy about what s happening in the country. much of the blame, i think, rightly, is placed on the political class. which is why you have people like trump surging. his message is resonating. ben carson is in the same boat. you noticed a shout out from donald trump to carly fiorina who has now made it into the debate. another outsider. especially the head-to-head with jeb. the bush campaign has been pushing back. there has been a war of words between trump and bush. i think trump now is getting the better of the fight. i have a lot of issues with jeb bush and concerns about his viability. he has so much money. one of them is not fluency in spanish. speaking to voters who speak spanish in their language is not
saying i have to discover illinois. after being beaten in a south chicago race. excuse me me one second. the 2010 election. remember that? that was a tremendous blow. he recessed his presidency and how he could move forward and started emphasizing the the difference in values between him and republicans. when he says the government is us, that s like the grand slogan here. us because we come together to do the things. did you say the 180. people that try to restrict minority voting. they screw the voter it of voting. but he went back get together and do this collectively. he is looking beyond what the presidency itself can do and yearning for it. hoping people will recapture the sense of hope. he is completely samied by what s happening in washington. we are seeing a low point here. below 40%.
