Numerous law enforcement agencies launched an intense multi-jurisdiction search to track him down the location of J’saan Carlos Strover. 11Alive is told that Strover escaped from Arizona deputies Thursday morning while at the car rental lot just outside of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. He was in the process of being extradited back to Arizona by Maricopa County deputies to face the murder charges in Phoenix.

Arizona murder suspect J’Saan Carlos Strover, 20, was taken into custody shortly before 11 p.m., after College Park Police received a tip that a man fitting Strover’s description was seen walking down the street, barefoot with his hands behind his back, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post. College Park Police used night vision technology to locate the fugitive after he ran into nearby woods when spotted by a responding patrol car, according to the post.

Sgt. Monica Bretado with the Maricopa County Sheriff s Office said extradition deputies were in Atlanta on Thursday to transport Jssan Strover, 20, back to Arizona on a warrant for murder charges out of Phoenix. Bretado said while walking to a tram connecting to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Strover ran from deputies and entered a forest where they eventually lost him.  The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, the Clayton County Sheriff s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service worked together to find Strover.

A news crew reportedly spotted the suspect, 20-year-old J’ssan Carlos Strover, and alerted police Thursday evening. WSB-TV photojournalist Joe Booker says he was preparing a story when he saw Strover run past his live truck and into some bushes.
