FAIRFIELD, CT A driver was taken to the hospital over the weekend after he was found passed out in a car following a crash near the Fairfield-Bridgeport border, according to police.
The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. Sunday on Park Avenue near Ruth Street, police said. A Toyota Camry was traveling north on Park Avenue when it drifted into the southbound lane and, while moving slowly, struck a Hyundai Santa Fe, which had come to a stop, according to police.

A Fairfield County woman has been arrested on numerous charges after she drove into the side of a McDonald s restaurant.
Yazmin Masas Hechavarria, age 33, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 9, for the incident that took place just after midnight on Friday, Jan. 29 at the McDonald’s located at 536 Post Road in Fairfield, said Fairfield Police Lieutenant Antonio Granata.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found that a silver Hyundai Accent had traveled west across the grassy median of the Post Road traffic circle and then collided into the south side of the McDonald’s building, Granata said.

A man hit by a vehicle suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after crossing a street without allegedly checking for traffic first in the Town of Fairfield, police said.
The incident took place around 12:39 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, on Reef Road in Fairfield.
According to Granata, a Fairfield Police Officer was advised by a passerby that a person had just been struck by a vehicle on Reef Road just north of Veteran’s Park.
When police arrived on the scene, they found Michael Smith, 25, of Fairfield, lying on the ground in front of 783 Reef Road and was suffering from several injuries, Granata said.
