GUWAHATI: The Minister of Education Dr. Ranoj Pegu formally flagged off vehicles carrying free textbooks for students of Class 12 across the State, here on Wednesday.
A total of 12, 96,636 copies of books for class 12 students will be dispatched from today onwards to 34 districts. The five districts scheduled for today morning were Dibrugarh, Dhemaji, Bongaigaon, Nalbari and Chirang. Dr Pegu assured that the other districts will receive the free texts books as early as possible so that the students do not face any hurdle in their study process.
