Wildwood Man Charged With Attempted Murder, Weapon Offenses
Authorities say a man from Wildwood is facing a list of charges following an apparent stabbing in the city late Thursday night.
The Wildwood Police Department says at about 11:30 PM Thursday, a 9-1-1 call was received about a stabbing in the area of Montgomery and Pacific Avenues. They say while cops were responding, one officer observed a person running from the area and throwing an item down a storm drain.
This person, later identified as 26-year-old Dimael Lassalle-Sanchez, was detained and later confirmed to be the suspect.
An investigation led to the following charges being filed against Lassalle-Sanchez: first-degree criminal attempt–murder, second-degree aggravated assault (serious bodily injury), third-degree aggravated assault (with weapon), third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, hindering apprehension, and possession of CDS (Alprazolam).
Mom arrested after 6-year-old daughter reported abuse to her teacher, police say

An Atlantic City woman was arrested last month after she was accused of physically assaulting her 6-year-old daughter, authorities announced Thursday.
Aminata Toure, 41, was charged with sexual assault, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault, according to a release from the Atlantic City Police Department.
The Division of Child Protection & Permanency ( DCP&P) contacted Atlantic City Police Detective John Sharkey on Feb. 20, 2020 after the girl reported to her teacher that she had been assaulted by her mother, police said.
The child told authorities that she had been punched by Toure and had a liquid spice that is used for cooking poured on her genitals, the release stated. A DCP&P case worker took the girl to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for treatment and investigation was launched by police and the Atlantic County Prosecutor
