Telangana adds 617 new COVID-19 cases, total count reaches 2,82,347 ANI | Updated: Dec 22, 2020 12:31 IST Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], December 22 (ANI): Telangana reported 617 new COVID-19 cases, 635 discharges and three deaths on Monday, as per the state health department. The State Health Department in its Tuesday bulletin said the total count of coronavirus cases in the state has increased to 2,82,347 including 2,74,260 discharges. The active cases in the state currently stand at 6,469. Besides, 1,518 deaths have been reported in Telangana till Monday. Out of the total of 2,82,347 cases, 1,97,643 are asymptomatic while 84,704 are symptomatic. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 103, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri (52) and Rangareddy (51), the health department said on Tuesday providing details as of 8 pm on December 21.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 103, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri 52 and Rangareddy 51, a government bulletin said on Tuesday providing details as of 8 pm on December 21. As many as6,569 patients are under treatment and45,227 samples were tested on Monday. Cumulatively, over 65.20 lakh samples have been tested. The samples tested per million population was nearly 1.75 lakh, the bulletin said.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported 103 new cases during the last 24 hours while the daily count in districts was in double or single digits.
