Hyderabad, May 11 : The Telangana High Court on Tuesday pulled up state authorities for stopping ambulances carrying Covid-19 patients from Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad.
The court took serious note of reports that Covid patients coming to Hyderabad for treatment were stopped at inter-state border and were turned away.
A division bench of Chief Justice Hima Kohli and Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy questioned the authorities as to how can they stop ambulances when there are no restrictions on inter-state movement.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is planning to reconstruct Hyderabad with augmented infrastructure. Under the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), a series of flyovers in different parts of the city which are part of 20 infrastructure projects being built at Rs 4,741.97 crore.
The GHC officials are constructing flyovers in Kondapur, Shaikpet, Balanagar, Bairamalguda and Owaisi Junction, with four of them to be opened to the public this year itself.
A GHMC official said, The flyover crossing Seven Tombs and Whisper Valley junction, LB Nagar flyover and Bairamalguda flyover will be inaugurated this December.

Telangana logs 4,801 COVID-19 cases, 32 deaths

Hyderabad: Telangana on Tuesday reported 4,801 fresh COVID-19 cases,taking the tally to 5,06,988, while the toll rose to 2,803 with 32 more deaths, a government bulletin said.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 756, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri (327) and Rangareddy (325), the bulletin said.
The state has 60,136 active cases and over 75,000 samples were tested.
With 7,430 being cured, the total recoveries were at 4,44,049.
Cumulatively, over 1.37 crore samples have been tested.
The samples tested per million population was over 3.69 lakh, the bulletin said.

Hyderabad: Telangana has reported4,826 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the tally to over half-a-million while the death toll stood at2,771 with 35 more casualties, a bulletin said.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 723, followed by Rangareddy (324) and Medchal Malkajgiri (305), the bulletin said.
The State has 62,797 active cases and nearly 66,000 samples were tested.
The total number of cumulative cases in the State stood at 5,02,187 while with 7,754being cured, the total recoveries were at 4,36,619.
Cumulatively, over 1.36 crore samples have been tested.
