CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A man who was injured during a gun battle with Charleston police officers was recently arrested for waving a gun in a restaurant, according to Police Chief Luther Reynolds.
During a Thursday afternoon press conference, police identified the suspect in Wednesday’s officer-involved shooting in West Ashley as 25-year-old George Grayson Sanner who remains hospitalized at MUSC in stable condition.

GALVESTON, Texas – A deputy shot a suspect while serving a narcotics search warrant Thursday in Galveston, authorities said.
The deputy shot the suspect, the Galveston Sheriff’s Office said, when the suspect brandished a weapon. The shooting happened on 51st and S1/2 in Galveston at about 9:30 Thursday morning
“Multiple commands were given to him, he refused to put the gun down and our officers fired several rounds,” said Captain Dennis Macki of the Galveston County Sheriff’s office.
The suspect who was shot was transported to UTMB with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
