NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Dept. is investigating an officer-involved shooting in New Orleans East in the Plum Orchard neighborhood.
The NOPD says around 9:30 a.m. an officer noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in the 4300 block of Werner Drive.
Two black males were seated inside. The passenger got out and began struggling with the officer.
That’s when the NOPD says the officer’s weapon discharged.
The driver fled the scene.
The man who was shot was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries.

PINEVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) - Pineville police provided more details from a 2020 officer-involved shooting that seriously injured a man who they say was waving a gun along a busy stretch of road.
Police released a 911 call and officer body camera footage of the shooting that struck 23-year-old Timothy Rochell Caraway the morning of February 1, 2020.

The shooting happened around 10 a.m. North Polk Street, off Interstate 485, near Arby’s.

A multi-agency task force has ended its investigation of an officer-involved shooting that took place in December. The task force found that Lewiston Police Officer James Allen was acting in self-defense when he shot and killed Cole Blevins Dec. 27 at a residence on Powers Avenue in the Lewiston Orchards. According to a news release issued Monday by Lewiston Police, a prosecutorial review conducted by the Clearwater County prosecuting attorney concluded that “Officer Allen’s actions were appropriate, did not violate criminal law, and are found to be justifiable based on the grounds of self-defense.”
The shooting took place at approximately 7:30 p.m. at a residence in the 2000 block of Powers Avenue. Allen was at the residence for a possible child abuse call. He was met at the door by a juvenile male and Blevins. According to the news release, Blevins reached into a chair and pulled out a handgun, which he pointed at Allen. Red Bluff officer-involved shooting was justified, DA says
The Tehama County District Attorney, Matthew Rogers, ruled an officer-involved shooting in Red Bluff as justified.

RED BLUFF, Calif. – The Tehama County District Attorney, Matthew Rogers, announced an officer-involved shooting in Red Bluff was justified.
The officer-involved shooting happened on Feb. 19, 2020, at the Meadow Vista apartments.
Officers said on Feb. 19, they received a call about a fight and when they arrived at the apartments a man named Alex Francisco Vazquez, 38, began firing at officers. In response, one of the officers fired back and struck Vazquez.
