Synopsis
The ‘A+L+M+B+M+M’ on the wall seems to hold some kind of mystical clue to what infleuntial cleric Abbas Siddiqui – who said on Thursday that whether his party will join hands with TMC or not is ‘hypothetical, but it’s up to them to initiate’ – and Owaisi, and the Left-Congress, will decide.
Brajamohan Tiwari Shiksha Niketan, Nandigram
The large stubbly field of Brajamohan Tiwari Shikhsa Niketan, established in 1912, in Nandigram is framed by an impressive building. On the outer wall next to the school’s entrance, a mysterious scrawl in large black paint is visible for all to see: ‘A+L+M+B+M+M’. Sanwar Rehman, an alumnus and owner of a clothes store, inhales deeply on his cigarette and seems ready to explain the meaning of the ‘equation’. Instead, he launches forth on something else in the afternoon sun.

GHAZIABAD: Panic spread like wildfire in the Madhuban Bapudham area on Wednesday after police found an LPG cylinder attached with a device and a timer lying abandoned on an empty plot, along with three letters, one demanding that Asadduddin Owaishi be hanged. An FIR has been lodged.
The 5kg cooking gas cylinder was spotted by two cops Deepak Kumar and Vivek Kumar patrolling in the area. Fearing it might be a bomb, the duo informed their superior officers and the bomb detection squad was soon called to the spot. However, members of the squad found the device to be a fake bomb.
