34-year-old man shot in midsection on Syracuse’s South Side, police say

Syracuse, N.Y. A 34-year-old man was shot in the midsection early Saturday morning on Syracuse’s South Side, according to Syracuse police.
Police arrived at Upstate University Hospital at 1:15 a.m. and found the man had been taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle, according to Syracuse police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Malinowski.
The shooting took place in the 100 block of West Borden Avenue, Malinowski said. Several gun shell casings were found in the area, he added.
The man is expected to survive, Malinowski said.
25-year-old man stabbed near Orchard Estates Apartments in Salina, deputies say

Deputies responded to the stabbing at 8:46 p.m. at 118 Roxboro Circle, deputies said.
The man suffered minor injuries and was taken to Upstate University Hospital, deputies said.
Deputies said they believe the stabbing may have been part of a domestic dispute. The man was uncooperative, deputies added.
Deputies ask anyone with information about the stabbing to call the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office at 315-435-3051.

A Syracuse police spokesperson was not immediately available to comment on the condition of the men.
Police responded to the stabbing just after 6 p.m., in the 700 block of North Salina Street, dispatch reports show.
An officer said the attack was completely random, dispatch reports show.
One man was taken to Upstate University Hospital, dispatch reports show.
A man was later seen talking with police near the intersection of North Salina and State streets. He said he was attacked by another man.

Syracuse, N.Y. Police have identified and arrested a man Wednesday for stabbing another man on North Salina Street, according to Syracuse police.
Kelvin Williams, 42, was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to Syracuse police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Malinowski.
Williams is accused of randomly stabbing Kessley Duncan, 27, just before 6 p.m. near the 700 block of North Salina Street, police said.
