Egyptian president receives Oman’s envoy credentials

Cairo: President Abdel Fatah el Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt received Abdullah Nassir Al Rahbi, who presented his credentials as the Sultanate’s ambassador to Egypt on Monday.
During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik to President el Sisi along with His Majesty’s best wishes of good health and well-being to the Egyptian President and people.
The Egyptian President asked the ambassador to convey his greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people.
President el Sisi pledged support for the development of bilateral relations.
Oman marks International Women’s Day

Muscat: The Sultanate on Monday joined hands with world countries in celebrating International Women’s Day, which falls on 8 March every year.
Oman’s participation in the event stems from the attention accorded to women in the Sultanate and their engagement in all spheres of national action, including development plans and programmes.
The Sultanate lays emphasis on supporting and empowering women across all sectors and highlighting their constructive roles in economic, scientific, social, educational, health and technical fields to name a few, besides their household responsibilities of upbringing the offspring and enhancing family cohesion and social harmony.

His Majesty sends written message to ruler of Dubai

Dubai: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has sent a written message to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ruler of Dubai. The message deals with bilateral relations between the two countries.
The message was handed over by Dr. Sayyid Ahmed Hilal Al-Busaidi, the Sultanate s Ambassador to UAE, when Sheikh Mohammed received him on Monday.
During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed greetings of His Majesty the Sultan to Sheikh Mohammed along with His Majesty s best wishes of permanent health and happiness to him and the brotherly UAE people further progress and prosperity.
