boAt again tops truly wireless market in India in Q1 2021, OnePlus, Realme among top five brands
boAt dominated India s TWS market in Q1 2021 and contributed to almost 50 per cent of the shipments of the top five models in the quarter, according to Counterpoint latest report.

The truly wireless segment has seen a massive surge in Q1 2021, as per the latest report by Counterpoint Research. Interestingly, boAt, the Indian brand, was again the top truly wireless company for the third consecutive quarter and registered 576 per cent year-on-year growth, as per Counterpoint. The latest report also claims that there are three India-based brands among the top five hearable brands, including boAt, pTron, and Noise. OnePlus and Realme were the other two brands in the top TWS companies in India.

India’s smartphone shipments grew 23% YoY to reach over 38 million units in Q1 2021, according to the latest research from Counterpoint’s Market Monitor service. These were the highest ever first-quarter shipments. New product launches, promotions and financial schemes, as well as pent-up demand coming from 2020, drove the smartphone market in Q1 2021.
Commenting on the competitive landscape and brand strategies, Research Analyst Shilpi Jain said, “The Chinese brands held a 75% share in the March-ended quarter. Xiaomi led the market with a 26% share, followed by Samsung, vivo, realme and OPPO.
In total 38 million smartphone were shipped in India in Q1 2021.
