A man is currently admitted at the Navua Hospital following an accident at Naitata in Navua yesterday afternoon.
Police say the 36-year-old driver is alleged to have lost control of the vehicle he was driving which veered off the road, and hit an Energy Fiji Limited power post.
The man and three other passengers were returning from Navua town to Naitata when the incident occurred.
“All were rushed to the Navua Hospital where the driver remains admitted in stable condition while the other passengers were treated and sent home.”

Lautoka resident, Narayan Reddy says most of the shops in Lautoka City are closed but people can be seen lining up in front of supermarkets, pharmacies and in front of Energy Fiji Limited to pay bills.
He says people are doing their basic shopping but apart from that, Lautoka looks like a ghost town.
Reddy says there is minimal movement of people who are in masks.

It could take more time for Energy Fiji Limited to restore power in Samabula and Princes Road including the Kundan Singh Supermarket area as they need to fix an underground fault.
The EFL says the underground fault is near Kundan Singh Supermarket and teams will be working on it this afternoon.
Areas affected include Samabula, FNU, Votua Street, LDS temple, P&T transmitter, Vodafone, Kundan Singh and Bureta Street.

Residents from these areas have told us that they also faced similar situation yesterday morning and in the evening.
There is no timeframe on when power will be restored in all affected areas.
The Energy Fiji Limited says it is an unplanned outage as the High Street Feeder that supplies power to areas in Samabula, Princes Road and Toorak has tripped.
