Drive-thru test for COVID-19 now offered in South Lansing

The free tests are available Monday through Thursday at the Human Services Building on South Cedar Street. Registration for an appointment is required via the health department website.
The department has partnered with LynxDX, a private diagnostic company based in Ann Arbor, for the tests.
There are no nasal or throat swabs. Instead, patients’ saliva is used for the test. Results are sent by text or email within a day or two.
Hours for the drive-through site are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be no testing on Memorial Day next week or on Monday, July 5th in observance of Independence Day.

Eastern High School, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. May 24 (Second dose June 14)
J.W. Sexton High School, 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. May 25 (Second dose June 15)
Reo Elementary School, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. May 25 (Second dose June 15)
Willow Elementary School, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. June 1 (Second dose June 22)
Gier Park Elementary School, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. June 3 (Second dose June 24)
The health department is also hosting vaccination clinics at Holt High School from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Kinawa Middle School in Okemos from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Haslett High School from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday. Second doses are scheduled for June 16 at Holt, June 17 at Kinawa and June 18 at Haslett.
