During the pandemic, local and national law enforcement has seen a dramatic increase of explicit material by youth online.
A week ago, in Randolph County the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force was tipped off on a man in possession of child explicit content.
Since May 2019, the main objective of the county s program has been to limit the number of internet crimes against children, while spreading awareness of the surge of sexually explicit content involving young people.
The North Carolina branch run by the State Bureau of Investigation Computer Crimes program tracks down predators who use the internet to exploit children and have seen an increase in these crimes.
Help Available for Families Whose Children Are Being Exploited, Trafficked
After her own harrowing ordeal when her daughter was trafficked for sex, a Houston-area mother has set up a program to help families whose lives have been upended by child predators and traffickers.
Kelly Litvak founded ChildProof America in 2017 and, on March 1, will launch a helpline and program for families who are in crisis mode.
For now, the helpline will be available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays. “It’s an opportunity for parents to call and have lengthy conversations,” Litvak told The Epoch Times on Feb. 3.
“It’s more of a, ‘Help me understand the behaviors my child is displaying,’ ‘What is this I found on the cellphone?’ ‘My child has gone. What are resources that we can tap into?’”

He stars in the new film “Trafficked: A Parent’s Worst Nightmare,” inspired by multiple true stories from American suburban families whose lives were uprooted after one of their children was abducted and trafficked. I just think it s a hugely important topic and subject for today that people don t really appreciate how dangerous it is, [and] how many predators exist out there for our children,” Cain told The Christian Post. “My son is 20 years old now but I ve been having these conversations with him for 20 years, about the internet and people and safety and situational awareness and all these different things.”

BLACKFOOT, Idaho (KIFI) - Attorney General Lawrence Wasden has announced the arrest of a Blackfoot man following an investigation by his office’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit.
The Bingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested Andrew R. Young, 33, on January 28. A warrant had been issued for his arrest after the execution of a residential search warrant in Blackfoot in December 2020.
Young is charged with alleged sexual exploitation of a child. He is alleged to have possessed sexually exploitative material. He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail following his arrest.
