New app by IIT-Guwahati students to boost farmers productivity | Guwahati News

Representative image GUWAHATI: AgSpert an agri-tech start-up co-founded by students of Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT-G) and the alumni of NIT Silchar and Dibrugarh University has developed AgSpeak, a multi-lingual smartphone application for farmers. Developed with the goal of optimising the in-farm productivity through artificial intelligence (AI), the application will help farmers making decisions and managing farm activities by the click of a single button on their smartphone or computer, IIT-G said in a statement on Tuesday. Driven by hyper local crop data from satellite and smart IoT devices, AgSpeak considers up to 20 local crop parameters, which are key indicators of their health such as temperature, rainfall, sunlight hours, soil health status, among others, to alert farmers about probable crop threats in advance and suggest best practices to tackle the incoming threat, which would, in turn, help optimise resources used and maximise productivity.

Claiming that both these posts were equivalent to the post of a Vice-Chancellor, he said UGC regulations do not permit an individual to hold a post equivalent to that of

Targeted actions are needed to address immunisation gaps, especially for vulnerable populations. While digital technology may play a role in mitigating such disparities, their use poses challenges, especially in developing countries. This paper explores the Tika Vaani ( vaccine voice ) intervention, which sought to improve immunisation uptake in rural Uttar Pradesh, India by combining an mHealth strategy with a face-to-face component to educate and empower an economically poor, low-literate population. Based on the World Health Organization (WHO) mHealth Technical Evidence Review Group s mHealth evidence reporting and assessment (mERA) checklist, the research team here outlines the process of devel
