On May 24, 2021, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare
(
Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social)
(STPS) published guidance under the
recently amended Mexican Labor Law in the
Official Gazette
of the Federation clarifying the outsourcing registration
requirements for individuals and entities that provide
subcontracting services. The amendment generally prohibits
employers from subcontracting or outsourcing personnel, but
includes carve-outs and exceptions under limited circumstances. The
following provides a basic overview of the STPS outsourcing

Effective May 24, 2021, The Michigan Occupational Safety and
Health Administration (MIOSHA) revised its COVID-19 Emergency Rules. The change comes as
more Michiganders have received vaccines and COVID-19 cases have
decreased.
Remote Work and Masking Practices
Most significantly, the newly amended rules completely eliminate
the requirement that employers must create a policy prohibiting
in-person work for employees to the extent that their work
activities can feasibly be done completely remotely, meaning
employees can be mandated to return to their physical workplace.

On April 16, 2021, California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law
Senate Bill (SB) 93, which requires certain employers to rehire
