Borderlands 3 got another new update this week from Gearbox Software to make some balance adjustments for a couple of different weapons. It’s not an update that affected a ton of different weapons, but the good news is that it’s all buffs and no nerfs which means that your favorite weapon [.]

This is The Rally Point, a regular column where the inimitable Sin Vega delves deep into strategy gaming.
Having namedropped Tropico in the very last episode, I discovered two things this week: the happy fluke that it coincides with the 20th anniversary of the first game in the series, and that after years of waiting to use serendipitous , it reads far too pompously to open an introduction with it.
It s a perfect opportunity to bring up why I love the series, because that should counter-balance all the complaining I m going to do. And I m hinging it on this: I don t want Tropico 7. I want another Tropico 2.

There are still some notable absences from that list. Sony didn’t participate in E3 2019 and had no intention of taking part in E3 2020 either before the whole event was cancelled anyway, so it’s no surprise they’re not on this list. EA is also still missing. With rumors circulating that many bigger companies will be reserving their bigger main reveals for other events outside of E3, it’s likely they’ll be preparing for another EA Play Live event instead.
Strangely, the list also fails to include Focus Home Interactive despite their confirmation they’ll be making an appearance. They’ll be announcing three new titles during E3 before going on to show further gameplay of these at The Game Awards. The games
For those who are unfamiliar, Activision is the gaming company known for games such as Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and Overwatch, and in 2016 it acquired King (the makers of Candy Crush). Call of Duty is the third-highest-grossing video game franchise ever.
The hype around these games is bigger than ever. Last week Twitch streamer Nickmercs had 400,000 viewers two days in a row watching his Warzone stream.
Mobile games
The mobile version of Call of Duty was released in 2019, and the game saw one of the largest mobile game launches in history, generating over $480 million from 270 million downloads within a year. Candy Crush is one of the three top-grossing gaming apps in the United States and the U.K., according to App Annie. The newly launched Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! has reached 20 million downloads in record time and has again shown that taking an IP mobile can be a winning strategy.

The mobile version of the Battlefield game is still untitled, but it is said to be a standalone game built from the ground-up to bring the Battlefield all-out warfare experience to smartphones and tablets. DICE is still developing a next-gen Battlefield game for PC and consoles.
In a blog post, Oskar Gabrielson, the General Manager of DICE, stated that the upcoming mobile version of Battlefield is ready to move forward after years of prototyping.
