MIL-OSI Security: Investigation following serious incident in Brixton

An investigation is ongoing following a serious incident in Lambeth last night. Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 21:37hrs on Wednesday, 2 June to reports of an injured man on Moorland Road, SW9. Officers, including firearms officers, and London’s Air Ambulance attended. A man, aged in his mid-20s, was found suffering what are believed to be gunshot injuries and stab wounds. He was taken by the LAS to a south London hospital; his condition has been assessed as not life-threatening but may be life-changing. A 17-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.

As part of a renewed appeal for information a year on from the incident, officers want to remind the public about an outstanding £20,000 reward for information that leads to the conviction of those responsible. As part of the appeal, CCTV footage of a moped that is believed to have been involved in the shooting is being reissued. On 3 June 2020, shortly before 21:45hrs, police responded to reports of a shooting in Energen Close in Harlesden, NW10.

MIL-OSI Security: Man charged with murder of Tony Eastlake in islington

Source: United Kingdom London Metropolitan Police Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of Tony Eastlake in Islington on Saturday, 29 May have charged a man. James Peppiatt, 21 (30.04.00) of Elmore Street, N1 was charged with the murder on Wednesday, 2 June. He was remanded in custody to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 3 June. Police were called at 17:27hrs on Saturday, 29 May to reports of an injured man on Essex Road, N1. Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and provided first aid. Despite their best efforts, Tony Eastlake, aged 55, was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating.
