Wednesday sees 49 coronavirus cases and one death in Greater Lincolnshire
No cases or deaths in North East Lincolnshire

There have been 49 new coronavirus cases and one COVID-related death in Greater Lincolnshire on Wednesday down from 56 cases and two deaths this time last week.
The government’s COVID-19 dashboard recorded 25 cases in North Lincolnshire, 24 in Lincolnshire, but none in North East Lincolnshire.
On Wednesday, one death was registered in Lincolnshire and none in Northern Lincolnshire. These figures include deaths both in and out of hospitals, as well as residents in hospitals outside the county.
NHS England has reported one new local hospital death at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust, the first death at a Greater Lincolnshire hospital in 17 days.

Lincolnshire Police wildlife investigators are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a sock has been placed over a swan’s head in Lincoln.
The swan was in the Catchwater Drain in the Coulson Road area of Lincoln when it was rescued on May 2. It had the black sock pulled tightly over its head.
PC Llewellyn, investigating officer, said: “Any type of animal cruelty will not be tolerated and we will carry out a full investigation into this incident. We work with wildlife organisations who report these incidents to us so we can investigate.

There have been 346 coronavirus cases in Greater Lincolnshire and two COVID-related deaths last week – a small decrease compared to 337 cases and eight deaths the previous week.
The first two days of May saw the government’s COVID-19 dashboard recorded 40 new cases in Lincolnshire, 34 in North Lincolnshire and six in North East Lincolnshire.
The figures are a 2.6% weekly drop in case numbers and a 75% drop in deaths.
Across the bank holiday weekend, one death was registered in North Lincolnshire. These figures include deaths both in and out of hospitals, as well as residents in hospitals outside the county. Fluctuations in data can occur for a variety of reasons including corrected data, misdiagnoses or wrong addresses.

April has seen 1,633 COVID-19 cases for the entire month in Greater Lincolnshire down 63% on March’s figure of 4,493.
The county’s death rate has also sharply plummeted from 100 in March to 14 this month a drop of 86%.
So far this week, there have been 266 coronavirus cases in Greater Lincolnshire and one COVID-related deaths – compared to 251 cases and five the previous week.
The government’s COVID-19 dashboard on Friday recorded 37 new cases in Lincolnshire, seven in North Lincolnshire and one in North East Lincolnshire.
