BATKHELA: Accusing the government of destroying the country’s economy, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leaders on Monday said the rulers had stolen the public mandate, and the people would snatch their due rights.
In his address to the gathering, the PDM President Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that there was no democracy in the country as the rulers deprived the people of their true representation and an unannounced martial law is in vogue in the country. He said that the economy was in shambles owing to the incompetence of the rulers. “The government has destroyed the economy like that of BRT,” he added.

The birth anniversary of renowned poet Ahmed Faraz was observed on Tuesday.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz visited the H-8 graveyard in Islamabad today and laid floral wreath on the grave of Renowned Poet Ahmed Faraz and also offered fateha.
Speaking on the occasion, the Information Minister said Ahmed Faraz was an asset of Pakistan and he represented the underprivileged segment of the society.

Amid Broadsheet LLC owner Kaveh Moussavi’s startling allegations that the Sharif family had offered him a sum of money to drop the probe against them, the federal cabinet on Tuesday constituted an inter-ministerial committee to look into the matter.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz in his post-cabinet news briefing said that the cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, formed the committee to further dissect the matter by minutely probing the case and share the findings with public soon.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz on Friday responded to criticism by the Opposition over the use of the word blackmail by Prime Minister Imran Khan as he spoke about the sit-in in Quetta by the Hazara community.
The community has been protesting since Sunday, after 10 miners were massacred by terrorists near a coal field in Balochistan s Machh town, and have refused to bury their loved ones until the prime minister goes to meet them.
