Shibli Faraz stresses Pakistan-Cuba cooperation in culture field

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has emphasized the Pakistan-Cuba cooperation in the field of culture, saying that Pakistan has a rich and diverse cultural heritage that needs to be shared with the Cuban people.
Talking to the Cuban ambassador who paid a farewell call on him in Islamabad on Wednesday, the minister said that collaboration in the areas of culture and media would help promote Pakistan-Cuba bilateral relations.
The information minister said that Pakistan and Cuba enjoy cordial relations, especially thanking the ambassador for the scholarships offered in the medical field to the students of areas badly affected in the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan. He said that a large number of Pakistani students had benefitted from the scheme.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has said that the opposition was knocked down in 2020 because of their undemocratic tactics.
In a series of tweets today (Thursday), he said that the alliance formed to dislodge the government has become ineffective due to their vested interests, thinking and narrative.
If they had moral courage, the PDM would have been dissolved after the PPP’s decision to contest the Senate elections, he added.
The information minister also said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has set the direction right for economic progress of the country by taking bold decisions.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered relevant authorities to counter the lies and negative propaganda spread by the Indian media against Pakistan and to expose the true face of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) fascist government before the world.
“The BJP is carrying out baseless and negative propaganda against Pakistan which is not only aimed at diverting the global attention [away from the atrocities committed by the Indian occupation forces in the held Kashmir] but also spreading chaos in the country,” Imran Khan said on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet Tuesday authorised the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) despite opposition from Human Rights Minister Dr Shireen Mazari.
Shireen Mazari believes that the NAB-FBI agreement will open another political Pandora’s box and a new debate will kick start. She believes that NAB and FBI are two different institutions and their MoU would be illogical. She said NAB is an anti-corruption institution, while the FBI deals with internal security and law and order. Prime Minister Imran Khan has also summoned an important meeting today (Wednesday) to take action against unregistered non-governmental organisations (NGOs) promoting foreign agenda.
