A Chatfield woman is facing felony charges after police say she assaulted ambulance staff who were called after her vehicle crashed.
Tonia Louis Kruger is charged in Olmsted County District Court with third-degree assault, fourth-degree assault-emergency medical personnel and two gross misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol charges. She was ordered to appear in court on May 27.
Olmsted County Sheriff s deputies were called just before 5 p.m. Feb. 9, 2021, to a report of an accident with injuries at the intersection of Olmsted County Road 10 Southeast and 155th Avenue Southeast in Elmira Township.

ROCHESTER, Minn. – A man accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend and her two-year-old daughter is pleading not guilty.
Renard Lydell Carter, 30 of Rochester, is charged with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder of an unborn child. He was arrested in September 2020 after Rochester police said Carter killed the pregnant Keona Foote, 23, and her daughter Miyona Miller. Their bodies were found at Olympik Village Apartments.
Authorities say Carter fled to South Carolina after the slayings and was arrested there after threatening to kill police officers while streaming events live on Facebook.

Nearly a year after a Rochester man robbed another at gunpoint, the 20-year-old has pleaded guilty to a felony charge.
Chauncey Williams, 20, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Olmsted County District Court to first-degree aggravated robbery and domestic assault strangulation. The two charges are from two separate cases. Both are felonies.
Williams is scheduled to be sentenced on the charges on June 14 by Judge Jacob Allen.
The petition to enter a guilty plea filed with the courts indicates that remaining felony charges of kidnapping, first-degree tampering with a witness, theft and misdemeanor domestic assault will be dismissed at sentencing.
