Rhonda Rae Fellowes-Flies, 57, of Plainview, was driving a 2012 Nissan Rogue southbound on U.S. Highway 52 and turning left into a private driveway, and Kristina Dachelle Youngquist, 29, of Rochester, was driving a 2010 Chevy Equinox, also southbound on Highway 52, when the vehicles collided at 8:16 a.m., according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. Fellowes-Flies and Youngquist were taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys Campus with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Sheriff s Office says the bus was from the Stewartville School District and no children were injured. The accident happened just before 1pm in the 7300 block of County Road #6 SW. The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office says the semi driver apparently did not see the bus stopped in the road to drop off children. The semi driver tried to miss the school bus and jackknifed the semi, which ended up in the ditch and the road. The Sheriff s Office says there is no indication that drugs or alcohol played any role in this accident.

No children injured in bus versus semi-trailer crash

KAAL-TV Created: May 07, 2021 03:52 PM (ABC 6 News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office is investigating a crash involving a semi-trailer and school bus in High Forest Township Friday. Just before 1 p.m., a school bus carrying six children from the Stewartville School District was stopped in the 7300 block of County Road 6 SW. Authorities say the semi-driver did not see the school bus and attempted to avoid the crash, and as a result, became jack-knifed in the ditch and roadway. At this time, there is no indication of any alcohol or controlled substance use by any drivers.   No children were injured in this crash and the crash remains under investigation.
