Stewartville man charged with assault with a gun

The man reportedly pointed a firearm at another man Thursday night. 12:08 pm, Jan. 8, 2021 × Shaun Whitney A Stewartville man was arrested Thursday night after Olmsted County Sheriff s deputies say he pulled a gun on another man and assaulted him. Shaun Whitney, 24, is charged in Olmsted County District Court with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and terroristic threats, both of which are felonies. He is also charged with misdemeanor counts of domestic assault and fifth-degree assault. He made his first appearance in court on the charges Friday morning when Judge Pamela King ordered Whitney released on conditions including that he not use of posses any firearms or dangerous weapons and that he has no contact with the alleged victims in the case.

Rochester man charged with Stewartville sledgehammer burglary Collin Johnson Posted: Dec 30, 2020 9:05 AM Posted By: Mike Bunge OLMSTED COUNTY, Minn. – A Rochester man is jailed after allegedly trying to break into a garage with a sledgehammer. Collin Johnson, 39, was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center on two counts of 1st degree burglary, possession of burglar’s tools, and 4th degree damage to property. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says it was called to the 2400 block of Sonke Lane NW in Stewartville on Tuesday by a 15-year-old female who said someone was trying to smash their way into the garage with a sledgehammer. Deputies say they located Johnson a few blocks away, riding a skateboard in the 1300 block of 20th Street NW, and took him into custody.

Rochester Man Found Apparently Overdosing In Stolen Vehicle

Enter your number to get our free mobile app Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who was a suspect in a stolen vehicle case ended up at St Marys Hospital after apparently overdosing on an unknown drug. An Olmsted County deputy was called to a residence near Oronoco Sunday afternoon to check a report of a suspicious vehicle. The deputy found a man in the car who was suffering from a medical issue. An ambulance was called and the man’s condition deteriorated on the way to the hospital. He was reported in fair condition Monday morning.
