Graffiti problem persists at Commerce Township park
For years families have enjoyed Mill Race Park in Commerce Township. But their visits have seen a rise in graffiti on what is left of the historic mill, trees and more. It needs to be addressed, it needs to be stopped, said Courtnee Antos. It s more than likely kids, so I think the parents really need to be paying attention to what their kids are doing.
Township Supervisor Larry Gray says vandalism at the park has been a problem for at least a decade. The spray-painted messages are often vulgar.

PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) â A Pontiac woman was arrested after allegedly stabbing her grandfather while he was sleeping, the Oakland County Sheriff s Office said.
Deputies responded to the Phoenix Place Apartments on the report of a woman who was bleeding, carrying a knife and saying someone tried to kill her.
Upon arrival, the 27-year-old woman told deputies she had stabbed a man in an upstairs apartment because he had attempted to kill her.
The 75-year-old man was found lying on the floor of his apartment with multiple lacerations to his head, face, arms and tongue. He had also been stabbed in the chest and cheek.

A woman is in police custody for she told police she stabbed her grandfather multiple times because he was trying to kill her, the Oakland County Sheriff s Office said.
Officers responded to the Phoenix Place Apartments on Woodward in Pontiac around 12:08 a.m. Sunday for a report of a woman who was bleeding and carrying around a knife.
When deputies arrived at the apartment, the 27-year-old woman told them she had stabbed a man in an upstairs apartment because he had attempted to kill her, officials said.
Officers found a 75-year-old man in the apartment lying on the floor with multiple stab wounds to his head, face, arms, tongue, cheek and chest, police said.
