PONTIAC, Mich. – A 20-year-old man from Pontiac was taken into custody Saturday afternoon on suspicion of indecent exposure.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, it happened just before 12:30 p.m. at a Sally Beauty Supply store in the 320 block of Telegraph Road, just north of Cherry Hill Street. The 24-year-old victim told police that a man had exposed his genitals to her and that she believed he may have been an employee at a nearby Big Lots store since he was wearing an employee shirt at the time.

78-year-old woman in Oakland County loses more than $29K in scam, sheriff says
Scammers claimed to be an Amazon employee, MSP trooper and US Treasury agent

ORION TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 78-year-old Orion Township woman was scammed out of more than $29,000, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said a scammer called the woman claiming to be an Amazon employee to verify that she purchased $8,000 worth of Apple products. Deputies said after the purchase was disputed, the caller transferred the woman to someone claiming to be a member of the Michigan State Police to make a report. The fake MSP trooper told the woman that she needed to provide all of her banking information to file the report.
Pedestrian listed in critical condition after being struck on Haggerty Road
COMMERCE TOWNSHIP At approximately 7:05 p.m. Dec. 22, the Oakland County Crash Reconstruction Unit assisted deputies with an investigation of a pedestrian injury that occurred on Haggerty Road, near Crumb Road.
According to information provided by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, a 59-year-old West Bloomfield resident was walking in the roadway in a non-crosswalk area when he was struck by a southbound 2019 Dodge Ram, which was operated by a 44-year-old West Bloomfield resident.
The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing in an area that is reported to have minimal lighting.
An investigation is underway by the Oakland County Sheriffâs Office after two men were found with puncture and slash wounds early Wednesday morning in the lobby of a Pontiac apartment complex.
Sheriffâs deputies were called to the 200 block of Carriage Circle along with a crew from the Waterford Regional Fire Department to help the two men, shortly after 3:30 a.m. According to the sheriffâs office, one of them sustained a puncture wound to his hand, upper right arm and jaw, and the other had a slash wound to his chest.
Deputies determined that the men had been smoking marijuana on the third floor of the complex when a fight ensued. A broken mirror covered in blood was found in an abandoned apartment on the third floor, the sheriffâs office said.
