According to District Attorney, Micheal Murray, the following felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Mike Smith, presiding.
Damonn Steven French, on probation for the felony offense of Assault Family Violence-Occlusion was adjudicated and sentenced to Thirty (30) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, French, pled guilty to the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated and was sentenced to Ten (10) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Sarah Lee Goodman, pled guilty to felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Five (5) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

A 43-year-old Tucson, Arizona, woman is facing multiple felony charges after a reported incident on March 4 in Concordia.
A police report says an officer responded to a residence to assist medics with an overdosed patient. Central dispatch advised that the caller stated that the patient had overdosed on heroin.
Melanie Hilbrenner met officers at the front door of the home and officers were taken to a man who was unresponsive. Officers also reported seeing a loaded AR 15 rifle and large knives throughout the home within reach of a 6-year-old child. They also located drug-related items- including methamphetamine and heroin as well as several used syringe needles, two metal spoons with white residue and burn marks and a few baggies containing white residue.

An arraignment hearing for 20-year-old Dante Allison was held Thursday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan. Allison, on November 30, was charged with two felonies, Delivery of a Controlled Substance- Marijuana, and Taking a Controlled Substance into Jail. Allison pleaded “not guilty” to both of the charges at the arraignment.
District Court Judge John Fenn set the three day jury trial for May 24 and scheduled a pretrial conference for April 15 at 9:30 am. Judge Fenn also modified Allison’s bond to a high level of drug and alcohol testing at the Sheridan County Justice Office. If convicted on both counts, Allison faces up to 13 years in prison and fines of up to $13,000.
