A traffic stop on December 18 led to felony charges being filed against two Sedalia residents.
A Sedalia Police report says the passenger- Aaron R. Williams- fled the vehicle and was arrested nearby. A canvas of the area where the passenger fled resulted in the finding of a handgun. The passenger also had active warrants for his arrest.
With the help of a canine, authorities found 22 grams of methamphetamine.
A search of the passenger’s room at a motel revealed methamphetamine, items of drug paraphernalia, firearms and ammunition.
Court documents say 34-year-old Aaron R. Williams is charged with a Class B Felony for Trafficking Drugs in the Second Degree; a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance; and Class D Felonies for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Fort Frances – Shortly after 3:30 am on December 21, 2020 members of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police we patrolling and noticed a suspicious vehicle and an abandoned property. Officers investigated the suspicious vehicle, established the grounds to search the vehicle and located several items that were in the unlawful possession of the occupants.
As a result of the investigation, April Bruyere (41) and Richard Ronmark (42) of Fort Frances have been charged with:
2 Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule I – for the purpose of trafficking; and
1 Count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.
Both parties will attend Fort Frances Criminal Court on January 13, 2020 at 9:30 am to answer to these charges. None of the charges have been proven in a court of law.

The above narcotics and cash were seized in a raid on a Jacksboro Road home this past weekend. Arrested on scene were Brandon Mayfield, 31, of Somerset; Noah Bolin, 23, of Science Hill; and Dillan Gage Shadoan, 20, of Somerset.
A Pulaski County grand jury will consider a drug investigation launched from an overdose call on December 18.
District Judge Katie Slone ruled Monday that there was probable cause to send the case against Brandon Mayfield on for grand jury presentation.
Mayfield, 31, of Somerset, has been charged with first-degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (1st offense, greater than 2 grams of methamphetamine); second-degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (1st offense, less than 10 units of Schedule 1 and 2 non-narcotic); third-degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (1st offense, less than 20 units of unspecified drug); and Possession of Marijuana.
