Sedalia Police Reports For December 21, 2020 This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department reports. On the night of December 18th, Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3400 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a registration violation. At the time of the stop, an occupant of the vehicle fled on foot and the Officer gave chase. The suspect, Aaron Williams, 34, was taken into custody a short distance later without incident. Officers retraced the steps of the chase and located a firearm that is believed to have been thrown down by Williams when he fled. K9 Charlie was deployed around the vehicle, and provided a positive presence of illegal drugs within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine, in a quantity that would be indicative of illegal drug distribution. Further investigation revealed a room the subjects were known to be frequenting at Motel 6. A search warrant was obtained to search it for items related to illegal drug
