I have a small business selling luxury goods to clients in Asia.
Some clients have asked for whiskey s, can I export this in the usual manner or does alcohol have to be handled differently?
The spirits are UK duty paid and have UK duty stamps on the labels
Can I claim VAT as usual with the spirits purchased in the UK?
I ve read about a Spirit Duty can I claim this when exporting?
Thanks for all your help. There is really little information available for exporting alcohol
Has anyone come across this?
DPD have just cancelled and returned all our deliveries to EU citing that they contain prohibited goods.
They ve sent this.
96 9 it was certainly presented as a no duties and free trade deal, but specifically it s a no duties on products that originate from the UK or EU deal and this is crucial.
If you supply products that are manufactured or have materials primarily sourced from outside of the UK/EU you can expect that there will be duties to pay to ship them into EU now, even if you have already paid duties to get them into the UK.
John Lewis this afternoon just announced they re halting EU deliveries, quoting nothing to do with Brexit, but their timing is fairly coincidental. - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55576571

Hi, hoping someone can help out with a few questions I have now we have officially left the EU..
For the last few years I have been the European Distributor for a range of products imported from Australia. I have exclusive rights with the Australian supplier so they wont supply anyone else within the EU. Also I was using a .eu website address which no longer works.
Obviously until now it has been a single market so the the total amount is what the customer pays. Now we have left the EU I have no idea whats going on with duty / VAT etc.
