TEXSAR returning to help search for missing Texas State student

LULING, Texas - Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR) says it is returning at the request of the Caldwell County Sheriff s Office for a three-day search for Jason Landry who went missing December 13, 2020.
The search will start on February 26 at 8 a.m. and will consist of more than 100 TEXSAR members including search and rescue K9 s trained in human remains detection, the TEXSAR Mounted Search and Rescue Team, UAV/drones, experts in ground search and rescue, side-scan sonar, water search resources, and a helicopter.

Jason Landry disappeared Dec. 13 from a rural central Texas road after a car crash. Authorities are still working to find out what happened to him. How are we getting through it? We re being prayed for, said the student s father, Kent Landry, during an interview in December.
The search organization otherwise known as TEXSAR said its initial operation included nine days of ground search and three days of aerial search spanning with more than 100 trained volunteers. TEXSAR has continued to be involved throughout the investigation, smaller follow up searches, and now this upcoming large scale deployment, said the nonprofit group in a statement on Thursday.

LULING, Texas – A nonprofit organization dedicated to finding missing people will restart its search for a Texas State student who has not been seen since December.
Starting Friday, Texas Search and Rescue known as TEXSAR will commence on a large search for Jason David Landry, 21.
Landry was involved in a car crash near Luling that happened around midnight on Dec. 14, according to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office.

Lenoir Man Faces Federal Charges For Alleged Embezzlement Of More Than One-Million Dollars

A federal grand jury in Charlotte returned a federal criminal indictment last week, charging 55-year-old Richard Allen Clark of Lenoir with federal offenses arising from the alleged embezzlement of more than $1 million from his former employer. The announcement was made by Andrew Murray, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina. The federal charges include mail fraud, money laundering and filing false tax returns. Clark had his initial appearance in court Monday (February 22) before U.S. Magistrate Judge David C. Keesler.
